Who is the Outfit to you? Outfit is by far the coolest group of ladies I’ve ever met. I’ve got a lot of “favorite” leagues [Texas, Duke City, Bay Area] that I respect and love for various reasons, but I’ve always had a crush on the Outfit. They renewed my love for derby. I drank the kool-aid.

How did you get into derby?  I got into derby through a friend of mine who skated as Dolly Le Dukes for Houston Roller Derby. Started going to speed, went to a TXRG bootcamp in 2006, and then my first season with Houston was in 2007. I played for three seasons, and then I thought I was going into derby retirement. But I couldn’t stay away, and started helping out as a trainer for a league in Spring, TX- Northside Fury, in 2011. Then I moved to Chicago!

What’s your pre-bout ritual? I’ve got to have brunch. Huevos.

Who’s your favorite band/musician? Yeah Yeah Yeahs. I’m a Karen O fanatic.

Random fact about you? I flipping love goat cheese and my retirement plan is to own a little goat farm and make goat cheese someday.
