MID-SEASON ROLLER DERBY TRYOUTS WITH THE OUTFIT!

CHICAGO—July 4th, 2010—The Chicago Outfit, Chicago’s only not-for-profit Roller Derby league, will be hosting advanced tryouts on Monday, August 2nd from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. The Outfit is looking for women with some skating experience who will help them represent roller derby nationwide with class, sass, and dignity.


WHO...
Anyone who feels like they can pass the Women’s Flat Track Derby Association’s (WFTDA) minimum skills requirements, which includes a written test of the rules. Official rules and information about the minimum skills requirements can be found here and in this pdf.


WHAT...
Tryouts simply testing you on the WFTDA minimum skills


WHEN...
Monday, August 2nd 7PM—10PM


WHERE...
Where the Outfit practices! Fleetwood Roller Rink, 7231 Archer Ave, Summit, IL 60501


WHY...
Because you're awesome and you want to be part of our tight-knit roller derby family!


WHAT ELSE...
When you get there, we will have waivers to sign that way you don't have to buy skating insurance. You should have all the protective gear required to play roller derby/practice as required by the WFTDA. These items are:

Helmet • Wrist Guards • Mouthguard • Elbow Pads • Knee Pads (the bigger the pads, the better). If you don't have all your own gear, please let us know. Also, if you don't own your own skates, thats ok too. You can simply tryout with rental skates.
